This was my favourite Sonic. The reasons are really shallow. 1) This is the first Sonic game I owned as a kid, so really, it brings back a lot of memories. 2) The Casino level installed the thread of gambling early on in my life (look where I am now, ha!). 3) I liked having something following me around as I played. Made me feel important.
Back to the game, it's nothing special. Pretty much everything you expect in a platform game. As I look back on it now, it's not as challenging as I remember. But, back in the day, I thought it was! Still, the themes in the levels are well done. Also, I love the bonus game. It was one of the things I played over and over.
